Subject description: How do I add a Dummy Site
Reply with quote

I have installed TYPO3 onto a hosted server, using the Fantastico install.

From everything I can tell, it was successful. I wanted to do basic tutorials at typo3.org, but I can't figure out how to install the dummy site - the zip is downloaded but I don't know what to do with it. I did read the install info, but it didn't seem to help.

Where can I find the best tutorial for this. Everything I've found so far has information for the install of the dummy site as part of the overall install, which I've already done.

Thanks in advance for all help and suggestions.

1. how about to buy a book? check the latest packt book. very easy to read, well at least for me!

2. or Typo3 WAMP - http://typo3winstaller.sourceforge.net/
works excellent

3. check the wiki page of typo3, there are texts how to get going on windows for example, come contributions I've done with 3.81 and etc

4. just get dummy and src zip files. creata folder website "new site"
and extract src, then extract dummy
