I made a user and managed to find how to make a new user group (typo3 documentation is awfull! I am trying to switch from Joomla...hum).
I gave the usergroup all rights I could find (except admin). When logged in the user gets all menus but when clicked on 'page' the tree does not show up.

how to get this user group to see the tree.

Go to Web -> Access and give the user group the rights to see and edit the pages.

you just posted me the url in another tread, thank you. I'm checking that out (downloading now).

I could have found that all by myself if typo3.org was organised a bit better. Now what menu path should I have followed getting there?

Note: no main-menu-item selected.

anyways: I've spend hours going throught the documentation. frustration hours 'cos there are so many broken links.
