Template duplication?
Subject description: Editing my template, changes not appearing |

Hi,
I'm not a programmer, but am a huge Typo3 fan (learning curve is really steep, but my life as a volunteer webmaster of an NGO is so much easier now).
I'm sure there is a simple answer to my question, but I can't for the life of me figure out the solution. I downloaded a template designed for Typo3, uploaded it and all was great. There's a search box (macina) placed in the right hand corner, and I want to remove it. Thinking this was an easy one, I deleted all references of the search box in my template and also in the css. Yet, much to my surprise, the search box is still. I cleared the cache, it still appears on the site , leading me to conclude that Typo3 must've created a duplicate of the template at some point, and is using that file, not the modified template. Does anyone know where this dopple-ganger template file resides? And what should I do with it? Delete, modify?
Also, on a completely unrelated topic, what would happen if I deleted all of the contents in the typo3temp folder?
Thanks in advance for your help.
