Hi Everyone,

I'm an extreme newbie who has downloaded the Typo3Wininstaller_4.0.2.exe and installed it on a VMWare test server. This all worked really well and I have had a good time playing with the quickstart installation. However now I would like others in the project team who are assessing Typo3 to be able to have a play with it as well. They do not have access to the server it is installed on so I wanted them to be able to have a look at it through the Internet Explorer backend section. However it all points to localhost and I can't figure out how to change it. I went into the Install Tool and changed it from localhost to typotst (the name of the server) but when I clicked ok the message I got was:
Check database:
Could not connect to SQL database!
Connecting to SQL database failed with these settings:
Username: root
Password:
Host: typotst

Make sure you're using the correct set of data.

I tried changing the localconf.php file manually but that didn't work either.
Can anyone tell me how I can change the settings so they work - or is it not possible on the quickstart system.
Thank you in advance for your help.
Claire
