Subject description: How to do the first two steps for Multiple domains
Reply with quote

I tried to make another website on my Typo3 installation, there are three steps and as I know nothing of servers... how do i do the firts two steps? On my hosting account i have DirectAdmin.

Quote:
Make sure that the DNS of all domains point to your webserver
(trivial, non-TYPO3 related issue)
-

Configure your web server to direct all requests for the three domains
to the directory with the TYPO3-website (.../quickstart/) - now a visit to
any of the three domains will end on the "FC Bigfeet" main site.

THNX !

If you have an user account you'll find the option if you click on "site redirections" at the bottom of the page.

If you have a direcotry like typo3 where your typo3-installation is than you have to point your domain to this directory.

No i do not have a directory. I have (e.g.): www.hocuspocus.com
I log in on www.hocuspocus.com/typo3

And i have another domain: www.abracadabra.com
A site for ww.abracadabra.com is build in the typo3 starting at id=1
So you can acces de typo3 website of abracadabra by surfing to www.hocuspocus.com/index.php?id=1

what is going wrong?

If the starting point for the "first" domain in DirectAdmin is / the starting point for the second domain must be /, too.

I just cannot get it to work... i've added domains and now if i go to www.domain.nl/index.php?id=1 or id=28 i end up at www.domain.nl

Are there anu server settings to consider?
