 mysql connecttion

i have installing the quickstart on windows. when i run the intall tool i get this error in the basic configuration.
i cant launch the database analyzer or phpmyadmin either.
how do i fix this? how do i find what the username / password should be?
Connecting to MySQL failed with these settings:
Username: root
Password:
Host: localhost
Make sure you're using the correct set of data. |
