 Some help with realurl, print page of single news?

For some reason my posts in the mailing list get ignored so often, I hope someone can help here ... :
Everything else works for realurl except for creating nice urls for tt_news printlink & to_top link.
The current page looks like:
http://domain.com/home/news-view/article/site-todo.html
but after clicking the print button:
http://domain.com/home/news-view/print.html
This puts me back to the last page with a no news_id given message.
How come it doesn't see the article & tt_news id's from print link when it can actually generate the right links from the beginning??? same goes with go-to-top link...
