 Website user - data fields

Would it be possible to create custom fields in the backend where frontend userdetails are stored?
And to remove existing fields.
I tried removing the colums from the database but they still show in my typo3 backend. |

for example by making of webiste users in backend there are a lot of fields that are not needed: like Custom IM Account... and other fields we are missing, like function, team...
Is there any possibility to delete and add it? |
